As I sit down to type this week’s news it is with thoughtfulness as it would have been my mother, Katharine Dahlman’s, 95th birthday on June 5. She died nine years ago, and will be missed long into the future. I’m sure many of you have those same feelings as we pass the significant dates in the lives of our departed loved ones.
Congratulations to the Class of 2013 on their recent graduation from Cromwell-Wright School and other area schools, too. The 2013 school yearbooks are out and can be picked up in the school office. If you didn’t order one and still want one, call the school to see if there are any more left.
Don’t forget to attend the pig roast at Bethlehem Lutheran in Wright on Friday, June 7, from 5-7 p.m.

The Third Annual Kaleb Anderson 5K Fun Run/Walk will be held Saturday, July 6, at the Cromwell Pavilion. The run starts at 8:15 a.m. and the walk at 8:25 a.m. There will also be a pancake breakfast starting at 7 a.m. Cost is $20 for the Run/Walk. There will also be a kids’ triathlon (10 and under) starting at 9:30 a.m. Cost for kids (10 and under) is $5. Pancake breakfast is a free-will donation. All proceeds from the Run/Walk will go towards purchasing playground equipment for the Cromwell Pavilion Park. The proceeds from the pancake breakfast go to the Ronald McDonald House in Minneapolis.
