A local program that helps women overcome addiction has been recognized by the Minnesota Safety Council with a Governor’s Safety Award. The Carlton Community Addiction Recovery Enterprise (C.A.R.E.) program received a Meritorious Achievement Award, which honors organizations with a safety record that is better than the industry average.
“I’m very proud of our team,” said C.A.R.E. Director Karen Jones. “Working together, we’re keeping our staff safe and healthy at work. This award is icing on the cake.”
Since 1934, the Governor’s Safety Awards have spotlighted Minnesota employers with excellent safety performance and ongoing safety programs.
The Carlton C.A.R.E. program is operated by the Minnesota Department of Human Services.
