An EGGstraordinary day outDespite the weather, the second annual Easter Egg Hunt at Cloquet's beautiful Pine Valley was a smashing success

While last year’s inaugural egg hunt took place on a spring day so glorious that a massive crowd of parents and children turned out, this year’s event found Pine Valley covered with snow and the parking lot awash in puddles.
Still, turnout was high and the brightly colored eggs stood out on a field of white.
Sponsored by the Cloquet Area Chamber of Commerce, Cloquet Community Education and the city of Cloquet, this year’s hunt was even bigger than last year’s 3,000 eggs.
Organizers changed things up for this year’s event, delineating three different areas (according to age groups) for participants to hunt, and having kids recycle their eggs in exchange for candy at the end of the hunt.
