To the Editor...Students, teachers thank CEF

By: Ron Johnson/Deb Fisher, Pine Journal

To the Editor:

On March 3, eighth-graders from the Cloquet Middle School were given the opportunity to travel to St. Paul’s Park Square Theatre to view Goodrich and Hackett’s production of “The Diary of Anne Frank.”

On behalf of those 160 eighth-graders and the chaperones who accompanied them, we’d like to extend our sincere gratitude to the Cloquet Educational Foundation for helping fund our trip. This experience would have been a difficult endeavor without the generosity of this fine organization.

Thank you also to middle school students’ parents/guardians for extending monetary help toward our trip. It was truly a memorable experience and certainly made a lasting impression on our students. Cloquet can be proud that is has an organization such as the Cloquet Education Foundation and supporting parents! There is an obvious belief in expanding our students’ awareness and education in this community.

Again, many thanks!

Ron Johnson and Deb Fisher, English instructors at Cloquet Middle School
