Shayla Lange and Tad Johnson of Cokato, Minn., were united in marriage on Friday, June 22, 2012, the week of “the big flood,” on the Walker-Goetzke farm in Tamarack, Minn. The Rev. Mark Heijerman performed the ceremony.
The bride, daughter of Glenn and Cheryl Lange of Rock Valley, Iowa, earned a bachelor’s degree in graphic design and is employed by Johnson Marketing Group in St. Cloud, Minn.
The groom, son of Ray and Sharon Johnson of Kettle River, Minn., earned a master’s degree in accounting and is employed by Piehl Hanson Beckman, P.A., in Hutchinson, Minn.
The bride chose Naomi Johnson of St. Cloud, sister of the groom, to be her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Christy Lange of Rock Valley, sister-in-law of the bride; Kali Van Veldhuizen of Rock Valley, cousin of the bride; and Sarah Menne of Bloomington, Minn., cousin of the bride.
The groom chose his brother, Lars Johnson of Kettle River, to be the best man. Groomsmen were Jesse Lange of Rock Valley, brother of the bride; Micah Johnson of Kettle River, brother of the groom; and Ben Garske of Iowa City, Iowa, friend of the groom. The ring bearer was Trent Van Veldhuizen.
