The following students were named to the dean’s list at the University of Minnesota Crookston for academic excellence during the 2012 fall semester: Jared Ecklund of Wright, majoring in natural resources; Jacob Granfors of Kettle River, majoring in natural resources; and Lisa Kerr of Cloquet, majoring in accounting. Students receiving this honor attained a 3.66 grade point average or better.

Logan Pallin of Cloquet was named to the dean’s list with distinction at Duke University in Durham, N.C., for the 2012 fall semester. Students who achieve this honor are ranked in the top 10 percent of their college. Pallin, a 2010 graduate of Cloquet High School, is a junior a Duke majoring in environmental science and marine conservation biology.
