School: Cloquet Middle School
Grade: 6
Parents: Shelly and John Korienek
Who nominated this student and why:
Jayne Haugejorde, sixth-grade teacher:
“Madison comes into my class every day with a smile on her face and a “ready-to-work” attitude. She is very thoughtful with her peers and helpful to EVERYONE! I admire the way she stays positive and helps lead her classmates to finish a task or to engage in a discussion to change things in class/school for the better. One example of Madison’s determination is the new club that she helped establish at school. Keep up the great work, Madison! It has been a pleasure to share sixth grade with you.”
Name: Payten Schneberger
Grade: 6
Parents: Kerri and Corey Schneberger
Who nominated this student and why:
Linda Jankowski, sixth-grade teacher:
“Payten is a sixth-grade student of exemplary character. Her energy and spirit are reflected in all she does. She practices good manners, study habits and social skills. I am impressed with Payten’s quiet leadership qualities both academically and athletically. She is an excellent role model because she doesn’t allow herself to under-achieve. Her self-assurance and motivation trickle into her daily work to produce a quality product each time. She is an exceptional writer with much insight. Her willingness to help others has made her one of the most well-liked members of the class. It’s been a real pleasure getting to know Payten and having her in my class.”
