To the Editor:

I want to report a breath of fresh air we discovered at a local business that has completely bucked the modern trend by making customer service their top priority along with providing top-quality services. Services like we once expected and received from all local merchants.

The Frye family, owners and operators of Kennelz and Bitz, a pet boarding and grooming business in Moose Lake, are to be commended and recognized for their performance. I can’t possibly endorse this establishment strongly enough.

Recently we boarded our two dogs at Kennelz and Bitz while spending the Christmas and New Year holidays in England. We were concerned as our yellow lab is now 15 years old and requires special geriatric care due to arthritis. Not only did she receive superb care but the Fryes’ attention included immediate response to questions from traveling pet owners. It is clear that the Fryes truly do care about the animals placed in their safekeeping. We became completely confident that not only were our dogs’ major needs being tended to, such as special diet and medications, but that we could rely on great customer service touches like emailing photos of our dogs during their stay.

Kennelz and Bitz is an extremely professional and proficient local business that’s setting a high standard for other local establishments to emulate.
