Becky Lindmeyer and Dan LaPlante, both of Duluth, Minn., announce their engagement. The couple plans to be married Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013, at St. James Catholic Church.
Parents of the couple are Pam and Keith Lindmeyer of Cloquet, Minn., Larry and Cheryl LaPlante of Esko, Minn., and Brenda and Mark Lund of Duluth.
The bride-to-be graduated from Cloquet Senior High School in 2004 and the College of St. Scholastica in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She also graduated from the University of Wisconsin Superior in 2010 after earning her Master’s of Science Education degree in school counseling. She is currently employed as a school counselor at Hibbing High School in Hibbing, Minn.
The future groom graduated from Denfeld High School in Duluth in 2004 and from the University of Wisconsin Superior in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in art therapy. He is currently a plumber’s apprentice with the Local 11 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union.
