As some of you know, I put on a program twice a month for the residents of Villa Vista/Cardinal Court. Once a year we have a trivia contest and I held it on Dec. 26. The questions were all about Christmas this time. Results: first place, Pat Hagen with nine correct answers in a row; second, Thelma Johnson, eight correct; and third, Pat Kenemore with seven correct. Others were in attendance to watch and enjoy the event. Winners were given certificates and trophies. A permanent trophy is on display in the Villa dining room with the names of present and past winners.
Ann Markusen is offering four Introduction to Yoga classes from 5-6 p.m. on Tuesdays, Jan. 8, 15, 22 and 29, at the Cromwell Pavilion. The series is open to all people above the age of 10, men and women, and will be geared to each person’s capability. The yoga Ann teaches is based on the Iyengar “physiological” tradition and stresses strength and flexibility. Each session closes with a brief relaxation. While a good workout, it is neither aerobic nor high impact. This form of yoga encourages each person to explore his or her own unique gifts and challenges and is not competitive. There is no charge for these sessions, but you are requested to commit to all four sessions. Ann can accommodate up to 10 people and will bring mats and blankets. The class will be an opportunity for Ann and participants to explore whether we want to continue further, and we will decide at the end of January. If you are interested, call Ann beforehand to reserve a space and so that she can have a personal talk with you about your goals and fitness: office 218-644-3615, home 218-644-3516.
The 2013 Cromwellian yearbook is now on sale at the school. The cost is $40 if you place your order before Jan. 15 or $45 after that date. There is a discount for multiple copies for families. Call or stop in at the school to place your order.

Do you shop at our local Co-op Store in Wright? If so, save those purchase receipts as there may be dividends for this past year. You will need to turn them in, in June or July. Watch for signs at the store for when to turn in the slips.
That’s the news from Lake Warmtempsarecoming and hello to all our high school seniors and the homecoming candidates.
