The Cloquet Police Department is still looking for the burglar who was caught in the act Dec. 8.
Police said a man who lives on the 1500 block of Wilson Avenue came home just after 6 p.m. Dec. 8 and found a man with a pillowcase full of items from the home.
The suspect fled and the homeowner followed, police said. The suspect struck the homeowner with the bag full of stolen goods just outside the home but the homeowner kept following him. The homeowner stopped when the suspect turned around and yelled that he had a gun, police said.
The homeowner told police the man got into what looked like a red four-door Chevrolet Cobalt.
The suspect is described as a black male about 30 years old, approximately 6-foot-4 and weighing around 240 pounds. He was wearing a black sweatshirt and black stocking cap.
Cloquet Deputy Police Chief Terry Hill said police have not arrested anyone in relation to the case, which is still being investigated.
Anyone with information about the crime should call the police department at 218-879-1247 or call 911.
