Police seek public's help in finding burglary suspect
On Saturday, Dec. 8, at about 6:07 p.m., Cloquet Police were called to a residence in the 1500 block of Wilson Avenue in the city of Cloquet where the homeowner of the residence had arrived home and discovered his home was in the process of being burglarized.
On Saturday, Dec. 8, at about 6:07 p.m., Cloquet Police were called to a residence in the 1500 block of Wilson Avenue in the city of Cloquet where the homeowner of the residence had arrived home and discovered his home was in the process of being burglarized.
The homeowner encountered a black male in his home carrying a pillowcase. The suspect then fled the residence with the homeowner following. Outside the home, the suspect struck the homeowner with a pillowcase containing several items taken from the home. The homeowner then followed the suspect for a short distance on foot, until the suspect turned around and yelled to him that he had a gun. The homeowner then stopped and observed the suspect get into what he believed was a red late-model four door Chevrolet Cobalt that fled north on 14th Street.
The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 30 years of age, 6’4” tall with a heavy build, weighing approximately 250 pounds. The suspect was wearing a black sweatshirt and black stocking cap.
