The Carlton County Board of Commissioners has directed the Carlton County Auditor that a non-public sale, by sealed bid, of certain tax-forfeited land would be appropriate, and the highest and best use of this land would be achieved by the sale of this land to adjoining property owners.
This land will be offered for sale to the adjoining property owners in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, Section 282.01, Subdivision 7a; all mineral rights are reserved for the State of Minnesota.
Bids may be mailed or be delivered to the Auditor/Treasurer's Office in the Carlton County Courthouse, Carlton, Minnesota 55718, up to the time of opening. No bids will be considered for less than the appraised value and the County Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Payment for this property must be received within forty-five days of the Carlton County Board of Commissioners' acceptance of the bid or the next highest bidder will be awarded the sale of said parcel at bid offering.
