Robert 'Bud' Nelson
Robert "Bud" L. Nelson, 87, of Moose Lake, Minn., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012. Robert proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II. He worked at Conoco Oil. He was an artist, hunter, fisherman and inventor. His other interests were card playing, gardening, tinkering in his workshop, and having impromptu picnics on country drives, but Bud's true love was his family.
Robert "Bud" L. Nelson, 87, of Moose Lake, Minn., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012. Robert proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II. He worked at Conoco Oil. He was an artist, hunter, fisherman and inventor. His other interests were card playing, gardening, tinkering in his workshop, and having impromptu picnics on country drives, but Bud's true love was his family.
He was preceded in death by his two sons, Russ and "Steve the great."
Bud is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Norma; his son, Robert (Darla); daughter-in-law, Teresa; eight whippersnappers (grandchildren) and six great-grandchildren.
Private family service is planned.
