Two arrested after gun fired in dispute Sunday
On Sunday, Nov. 11 at approximately 11:30 PM police responded to the area of Blue Spruce Drive in the City of Cloquet on the Fond du Lac Indian Reservation, where witnesses stated that two individuals had gotten into an argument at a residence when one of the individuals was threatened with a gun. The Cloquet Police Department and several other law enforcement agencies are investigating circumstances surrounding the report of a person threatening an individual with a gun. On Sunday, Nov. 11 at approximately 11:30 PM police responded to the area of Blue Spruce Drive in the City of Cloquet on the Fond du Lac Indian Reservation, where witnesses stated that two individuals had gotten into an argument at a residence when one of the individuals was threatened with a gun. It was reported that shots were fired, but no one was injured.
Several individuals were questioned in regards to the incident, and through questioning police were able to determine a suspect. Police activated the Consolidated Emergency Response Team, (CERT) and members of that team took into custody one adult male and one adult female from the residence. Both are currently being held at the Carlton County Law Enforcement Center where they await formal charging. The investigation is on-going and no further information is available at this time.
Cloquet Police were assisted with help from the Fond du Lac Police Department, Carlton County Sheriff's Department, Minnesota State Patrol, St. Louis County Emergency Response Team, the DNR and Cloquet Area Fire District.
