Public invited to tour Cloquet hospital expansion Thursday

There will be public tours of Community Memorial Hospital’s new, expanded facility on Thursday, Nov. 15 from 3:30-5:30 pm. The $27 million project is 90 percent complete and has increased the hospital’s campus size by more than 50 percent.

There will be public tours of Community Memorial Hospital’s new, expanded facility on Thursday, Nov. 15 from 3:30-5:30 pm. The $27 million project is 90 percent complete and has increased the hospital’s campus size by more than 50 percent.

Community Memorial Hospital is located at 512 Skyline Blvd. Cloquet.

The new expansion includes:

New private patient rooms with WiFi and flat screen TVs

New birthing suites with whirlpool tubs, microwave and refrigerator, WiFi, flatscreen TVs, special lighting system

Four intensive care rooms

New infusion therapy rooms

New chapel

New gift shop

New kitchen/cafeteria that seats over 100

Large family/friend waiting area

Secure nursery

Computer lab

Training lab

In-house MRI

Employee/public meeting rooms

Refreshments, coffee and cider will follow the tours.
