The Wrenshall Board of Education's Committee of the Whole meeting was held on Wednesday, September 12, 2012.
Discussion regarding the Family School Support Worker being a .5 position. The cost to the District is $2,000-$3,000 with the balance being covered by Carlton County. It was unanimously agreed that this position is a positive asset to the school.
Discussion regarding the 6th grade students not being permitted to be on the Jr. High Football team for safety reasons. There will be further discussion at Monday's meeting.
Discussion regarding the recent attention being placed on concussion screening for athletes.
A handout was provided outlining our current enrollment status with special attention being focused on the 6th grade enrollment of 31 students. This will be monitored and re-visited at a later date.
Discussion regarding the Superintendent's summary of the Head Custodial position with a handout provided.
The auditors are in the building today through Friday conducting their 2012 audit. They will present their findings at the October meeting.
A handout was provided for informational purposes on a Restrictive Procedures Plan.
Discussion regarding plans for the upcoming referendum.
Discussion regarding Guardian Pest Control's contract to service the school monthly at the rate of $50.00 per visit, beginning this Friday.
Briefing of action items set for the September 17th Regular Board Meeting.
