COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING

WEDNESDAY - AUGUST 15, 2012

The Wrenshall Board of Education's Committee of the Whole meeting was held on Wednesday, August 15, 2012.

Discussion regarding the ABE Proposal with handout provided.

Discussion regarding the posting of coaching positions, payment of coaching salary and concession management.

Discussion regarding procedures and internal controls being implemented.

Discussion regarding our current technology department.

Discussion regarding Reading Well By Third Grade with handout provided.

Discussion regarding FEMA meeting at City Hall. Claims have been submitted and everything seems to be going smoothly.

Discussion regarding the AFSCME Contract negotiations. The next meeting is scheduled for October 23rd.

Discussion regarding the start of the 2012/2013 school year.

Other:

-There were 4 applications submitted for 3 school board positions.

-Our literacy program is going well.

-Letter from Guidance Counselor, Jamie Savre, requesting a leave of absence was received today.

-Proposed Handbook changes will be voted on Monday.

-The 2011/2012 Audit report will be presented on October 15, 2012.

-Graphing calculator exchange.
