BOARD OF EDUCATION

SPECIAL MEETING

MONDAY - JULY 23, 2012

The Wrenshall Board of Education's Special meeting was called to order at 6:05 p.m. on Monday, July 23, 2012 by vice chairperson Laveau.

Board members in attendance were Janaki Fisher-Merritt, Deb Bryce, Matt Laveau and Renae House. Also in attendance were Superintendent Belcastro, Principal Sue Frank and Board secretary Candy Christensen along with a community member. Board members Shane Kuhlmey and Troy Powers were absent.

No additions or corrections to the agenda.

MOTION by Bryce; seconded by House to approve the agenda. Motion carried.

MOTION by Fisher-Merritt; seconded by Bryce to approve the Health and Safety Budget for 2012/2013 and 2013/2014, as presented. Motion carried.

There was a representative from Ehler's and Associates present. He provided a handout to the board that outlined three different options for the upcoming November Operating Referendum. Board members and Superintendent Belcastro discussed the different options and exchanged ideas for use of funds that would generate from the second question. Ideas presented included a separate boiler for the pool, technology, ventilation in the elementary wing, rec building upgrades and football field and track.

A Special Meeting will be held Monday, July 30th at 6:30 a.m. to adopt a resolution for the Levy.

MOTION by Bryce; seconded by Laveau to adjourn meeting at 8:20 p.m. Motion carried.
