Wright-Cromwell News
By: Jennie K. Hanson, Pine Journal
As some of you may already know, I was the featured person in the Pine Journal last week in the “Our Neighbors” section. I was honored to be asked to do this interview and was so impressed with Wendy Johnson, the publisher at the Pine Journal, who did the interview. She was truly interested in my story and had so many great questions for me. She also did such a wonderful job of writing the story and I am so grateful to her for her fine writing. As a writer myself, it’s not easy to get all the facts of a story correct, but she hit the nail on the head and I was really happy with the story. One point I would like to make is that with all the activities I am involved in, it would be impossible to do them without the help of so many area volunteers that help along the way. You will never know how much you all are appreciated in our area.
I have been receiving many words congratulations for this story and thank yous for writing all these years, so let it be known that I really appreciate your thanks! I even got a call from Pastor William and JoAnn Simpson in Arizona last night. They thanked me for all the writing, which is so ironic since it was JoAnn who helped me pass seventh-grade English back in 1957 as I was about to fail, and she took me in during the summer to make sure I passed that year. Little did she (or I) know that I would end up doing so much writing in the future!
