Anna Marie Locke
Anna Marie Locke, 85, of Cloquet, Minn., passed away Monday, Oct. 15, 2012, at Community Memorial Hospital in Cloquet, surrounded by her family. She was born Nov. 7, 1926, in Cloquet to Vincent and Anna (Dufault) Lemieux and was united in marriage to Frederick "Fred" L. Locke on Aug. 3, 1946, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cloquet. Anna worked in the state of Washington for the government during World War II. She was the secretary for Sacred Heart Catholic Church and also an accountant for the Fond du Lac Reservation, and retired as director of food distribution for Fond du Lac. She was a lifelong member of Queen of Peace Parish, and a member of the Daughters of Isabella, Catholic Foresters, the Hebert-Kennedy VFW Auxiliary, and was a volunteer for Inter-Faith Care Center in Carlton, Minn.

Anna Marie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fred; sisters, Gertrude Bakke, Rosemary Blanchard and Lorraine Bassett; and an infant brother.
She is survived by two daughters, Deborah Locke of St. Paul, Minn., and Denise Cassidy of Chaska, Minn.; two sons, Kevin Locke of Sante Fe, N.M., and David Locke of Tucson, Ariz.; one sister, Joann Loisel of Pahrump, Nev.; seven grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, at Nelson Funeral Care, 1004 Cloquet Ave., Cloquet with VFW Auxiliary service at 6:45 p.m., followed by a Rosary Service at 7 p.m. The visitation will resume Thursday, Oct. 18, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Cloquet. Interment service will be at New Calvary Cemetery, followed by a luncheon.
