Margery Virginia (Rosen) Trygg
Margery Virginia (Rosen) Trygg, 96, of Cloquet, Minn., passed away peacefully on Friday, Oct. 12, 2012, at Sunnyside Health Care Center in Cloquet. She was born Oct. 2, 1916, in Dassell, Minn., to Olaf and Ruby (Gustafson) Rosen and graduated from Cook High School. Margery was very proud of her Swedish heritage.
Margery Virginia (Rosen) Trygg, 96, of Cloquet, Minn., passed away peacefully on Friday, Oct. 12, 2012, at Sunnyside Health Care Center in Cloquet. She was born Oct. 2, 1916, in Dassell, Minn., to Olaf and Ruby (Gustafson) Rosen and graduated from Cook High School. Margery was very proud of her Swedish heritage. She was united in marriage to Pete Trygg on March 28, 1937. Margery worked as a dental assistant in Ortonville, Minn., and as a seamstress and clerk for Harnish's Dress Shop, Crystals Apparel, and Johnson Company, all in Cloquet. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Woodcarver's Club, Rosmaling Society, and was a Past Worthy Matron of the Order of Eastern Star of which she was very proud. Margery was an expert seamstress and loved to sew designs. She loved thinking of what materials and pieces she would sew next and had many sewing projects. Margery also enjoyed playing cards, crossword puzzles, dancing, singing, music, jewelry and was an avid reader.
Margery was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Pete Trygg; one daughter, Barbara Trygg; and all of her five siblings.
She is survived by one son, Kenneth (Mardi) Trygg of Tempe, Ariz.; two daughters, Carol (Chris) Berg of Oakdale, Minn., and Rozann (Ronald) Stromsness of Esko, Minn.; six grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Her family would like to thank the staff at Sunnyside Health Care Center for all their wonderful abilities in making her happy and comfortable during the last years of her life. Also, a special thank you to the Rev. Dennis Morreim for his responsiveness to the Trygg family throughout the years.
Visitation will be held Saturday, Oct. 27, from noon until the 1 p.m. memorial service at Nelson Funeral Care, 1004 Cloquet Ave., Cloquet, followed by refreshments in the fellowship room.
