CERTAIN CARLTON COUNTY MUNICIPALITIES TO CONDUCT ELECTIONS BY MAIL BALLOT

The following Carlton County Townships and Cities will conduct their November 6, 2012, elections by Mail Ballot:

Clear Creek Township

Red Clover Township

Kettle River City

Corona Township

Split Rock Township

Thomson City

Holyoke Township

Wrenshall Township

Wrenshall City

Progress Township

Cromwell City

Wright City

Beseman Township

Sawyer Township

Kalevala Township

Non-forwarded mail ballots will be mailed to all persons registered by the twenty-first day before November 6, 2012, who reside in the aforementioned municipalities. These ballots will be mailed no earlier than forty six (46) days or no later than fourteen (14) days prior to the November 6, 2012, General Election. Persons who reside in the aforementioned municipalities who are not registered to vote, plan to be absent during the mailing period, have not received a ballot, or have a spoiled mail ballot, are to contact the County Auditor=s Office between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday at the Carlton County Auditor=s Office.

Voted mail ballots may be returned to the County Auditor's Office by mail or be personally submitted to the County Auditor=s Office on the second floor of the Carlton County Courthouse between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. No General Election ballots may be accepted after 8:00 p.m., on November 6, 2012. On November 6, 2012, residents of mail ballots precincts may register and vote in person in the Carlton County Auditor's Office between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.

Ballots will be counted at the Carlton County Auditor's Office after 8:00 p.m. on November 6, 2012.
