To the Editor:

September marks the time our students go back to school and it also marks the Cloquet Educational Foundation’s annual fund drive for school district employees. The results are in, and we have some exciting news to share.

On behalf of the Board of Directors, it is my privilege to publicly recognize the overwhelming response received from Cloquet school staff and school board members during the Annual Drive. One hundred and fifty-three individuals gave generously, raising $11,316 in support of educational opportunities and other prioritized learning initiatives for Cloquet students.

This support is making a difference as 16 important learning initiatives recently received $17,900 in grant funding because of the support the foundation receives from our school staff, Invest In Kids sponsors, CHS alumni, community residents, local businesses and friends.

The Cloquet Educational Foundation funding does not replace school district responsibilities. It works to enhance district dollars and provide innovative learning experiences for all students while supporting the strong Cloquet tradition of excellence in education.
