To the Editor:
Last Tuesday evening (Oct. 2) a very unsettling event happened in my neighborhood. A person or persons stole political signs from my yard and my neighbor’s yard. That alone is a crime, but then they proceeded to light them on fire in our street! Who do they think they are? That they have the right to strip me of my constitutional rights? I was taught that everyone was entitled to their own opinion. That is how I was raised. It saddens me to know that in this country, the country known as the Land of the Free, that my freedom of opinion has been attacked by another fellow American. It is a sad day in America when disrespect this deep is taking place in such a small community.
