Donald Morton Erickson

Donald M. Erickson, 75, of Cloquet, Minn., passed away Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, at his home. He was born Sept. 10, 1937, in Cloquet to John E. and Inga H. (Jokela) Erickson. Donald served his country in the United States Navy as a radioman. He was united in marriage to MaryAnn Novacinski on March 28, 1959, in Carlton, Minn. Donald retired from Potlatch Corporation as a pipefitter and was a member of the Potlatch Quarter Century Club and the Hebert-Kennedy VFW Post 3979 of Cloquet. He enjoyed gardening and baking (especially his breads and rolls), and was a great husband, fabulous dad and wonderful grandfather.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Edward, Sidney and John.

He is survived by his wife, MaryAnn; one son, Loren (Tracy) Erickson; three daughters, Ronda (Jeff Wehr) Erickson, Roxann (Dick) Burtness and Renee Erickson; five grandchildren, Josh (Ashley), Rylee, Bronson, River and Spencer; one great-grandson, Jaxon; one brother, Lynn (Sharon) Erickson; one sister, Mavis (Bill) Keller; and numerous nieces and nephews.
