ESKO, MINNESOTA

DESCRIPTION OF PROPOSED SCHOOL CONSTRUCTION PROJECT

The Esko Independent School District 99 is proposing improvements and additions to the existing Esko School District athletic facilities and sites.

The proposed project will include parking lots, a new track, new football field, new bleachers with a press box, new stadium lighting and sound system, new locker rooms, new restrooms and concessions, a new softball field and other site improvements such as fencing, sidewalks, utilities, and landscaping. The proposed total budget for this project is not to exceed $2,700,000 and will be financed by the sale of 10-year bonds pending voter approval on November 6, 2012.

REVIEW AND COMMENT STATEMENT

Based upon the Department's analysis of the school district's required documentation and other pertinent information from sources of the Department of Education, the Commissioner of Education judges the proposed construction to be educationally and economically advisable.
