I-35 traffic switch scheduled Friday near Scanlon

All traffic will be switched from the southbound lanes to the newly-constructed northbound lanes where traffic will merge into a single-lane in each direction.

DULUTH, Minn. — Motorists traveling on Interstate 35 near Scanlon will encounter a traffic switch Friday, Aug. 31. All traffic will be switched from the southbound lanes to the newly-constructed northbound lanes where traffic will merge into a single-lane in each direction. The southbound lanes will close and construction will begin on that side of the interstate.

The southbound ramps at County Road 1 in Esko and Highway 45 in Scanlon will also close while the southbound lanes are being reconstructed.

The northbound ramps at County Road 1, which have been closed since June, will reopen on Friday, Aug. 31.
