James Fredrick Vnuk

James "Jim" F. Vnuk, 85, of Cloquet, Minn., passed away Friday, Aug. 24, 2012, at Community Memorial Hospital in Cloquet. He was born Feb. 16, 1927, in Cloquet to John and Isabelle (Schreiber) Vnuk. In high school, Jim was very athletic and played on the football, track and basketball teams. Jim served in the United States Navy during World War II as a pharmacist's mate.

Jim is survived by one brother, Richard "Dick" (Mary) Vnuk, two nieces and three nephews.

Visitation was held Tuesday, Aug. 28, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Interment service was at New Calvary Cemetery, followed by a luncheon in the church social hall.
