Candidates file in municipalities, school districts

Filings came to a close last Tuesday for the balance of the elected offices in Carlton County’s schools, municipalities and hospital districts not requiring a primary election.

Filings came to a close last Tuesday for the balance of the elected offices in Carlton County’s schools, municipalities and hospital districts not requiring a primary election.

Names of candidates filing for those offices will appear on the ballot during November’s General Election.

Following are the latest filings in alphabetical order:

According to staff at the Carlton County auditor’s office, the races where no candidates have filed for open positions will be filled either by write-in vote or appointment by the local board or council. Candidates selected to fill those posts will serve only until the next general election.
