Lane closures and detours along Interstate 35 between Scanlon and Boundary Avenue in Duluth are set to change this week.
Thursday through Friday, traffic in both directions will be switched to the newly constructed northbound lanes. Motorists will be restricted to a single lane in each direction on the northbound lanes while the southbound lanes are being reconstructed. The project is expected to be completed in mid-October.
All but two ramps at the County Road 61 and Midway Road interchanges will be open to traffic. The two exceptions are the southbound exit ramp from I-35 to County Road 61 and the southbound entrance ramp from Midway Road to I-35.
The detour around closed ramps will be marked with signs. All businesses will remain accessible using marked detour routes.
