CITY OF CLOQUET ZONING CASE 12-07: CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT AMENDMENT - SHAMROCK LANDFILL 761 HWY 45

Notice is hereby given that there will be a public hearing to consider an amendment to the Conditional Use Permit issued to the Shamrock Environmental Landfill, LLC (originally approved in February 2011). The amendment the company is proposing is to modify the annual volume percentage of paper sludge waste / SRFI waste allowed for acceptance at the facility as landfill material subject to landfill design review and approval by the MPCA for gas collection and monitoring.

The application has been received from property owner Shamrock Environmental Landfill pursuant to 17.2.10 of the City Code. The property is located on unplatted land located within Section 25, Township 49N, Range 17W (PIN 06-510-5781).

The hearing will be conducted by the Cloquet Planning Commission at its regular June meeting on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at 7:00 pm at the Cloquet City Hall, 1307 Cloquet Avenue, Cloquet. Persons wishing to comment on the proposal may do so in person at the hearing, or in writing by addressing their comments to the Community Development Department, 1307 Cloquet Avenue, Cloquet, prior to the hearing.
