Marilyn Jean Grover, 75, of Cloquet, Minn., passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at Community Memorial Hospital, Cloquet.
Marilyn Jean Grover, 75, of Cloquet, Minn., passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at Community Memorial Hospital, Cloquet. She was born Nov. 8, 1936, in Cloquet to Arthur and Viola (DeRusha) Anderson and graduated from Cloquet High School in 1954. Marilyn was united in marriage to Clifford A. Grover Sr. in 1955. She was very active as a member of the United States Air Force Wives' Club. Marilyn worked many years as a nurse's aide and retired in 1979 from Community Memorial Hospital. She was also a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Cloquet.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Robert Anderson; daughter Kimberly Eakins and infant daughter Mary Martha.
She is survived by her husband, Clifford Grover Sr.; her children, Cliff (Lynn) Grover Jr. of Derby, Kan., Mike (Melissa) Grover of St. Paul, Minn., Troy Grover of Wichita, Kan., and Pam (Mark) Nunnery of Winterville, N.C.; and six grandchildren, Lance, Jordan (Ashlee), Justin, Jessica, Dustin and Lindsey. They were her pride and joy. Marilyn is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held Saturday, July 14, from 9 a.m. until the 10 a.m. memorial service at Nelson Funeral Care, 1004 Cloquet Ave., Cloquet, officiated by Deacon Terry Twomey. Honorary bearers are Marilyn's grandchildren. Inurnment will be at New Calvary Cemetery, followed by a luncheon in the funeral home fellowship room.
