SPECIAL MEETING

WEDNESDAY - MAY 30, 2012

The Wrenshall Board of Education's held a Special Meeting on Wednesday, May 30, 2012. It was called to order at 6:01 p.m. by Chair Powers.

Board members in attendance were Troy Powers, Janaki Fisher-Merritt, Matt Laveau, and Deb Bryce Also in attendance were Principal Sue Frank and Board Secretary Candy Christensen along with Staff, Students and community members. Board members Shane Kuhlmey and Renae House were absent.

Additions or corrections to the agenda: Add item #3b.

MOTION by Bryce; seconded by Laveau to approve the Agenda. Motion carried.

MOTION by Fisher-Merritt; seconded by Laveau to accept the Proposed Separation Agreement with Rick Herman as the District's Superintendent effective October 15, 2012. All in favor. Motion carried.

MOTION by Bryce; seconded by Powers to grant Business Manager, Connie Skarbakka access to all accounts held at Frandsen Bank for financial matters related to the District. Motion carried.

Open Forum:

-Discussion regarding a search for an Interim Superintendent for the District. The board will check the legalities required.

-A meeting will be held next Wednesday to discuss District issues.

-A list of summer projects for the custodial department has been given to the Head Custodian, Jeff Menze. A summary of these projects was discussed.

-Discipline issue on the bus.

-Playground equipment and it's safety.

-Business Manager's contract.

-Job descriptions.

-Progress regarding the 2012/2013 curriculum.

MOTION by Fisher-Merritt; seconded by Laveau to adjourn meeting at 6:40 p.m. Motion carried.
