CITY OF CARLTON NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING APPLICATION FOR A

CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT

The Planning Commission of the City of Carlton will hold a Public Hearing at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 10, 2012. The meeting will take place in the Council Chambers of the Carlton Civic Center, located at 310 Chestnut Avenue, Carlton, MN 55718.

The purpose for this Hearing is to allow public input in response to an application for a Conditional Use Permit by Oldenburg House, LLC, Helen Swanson to develop and operate a Bed and Breakfast, Coffee House/Small Restaurant and Event Venue businesses in an R-1, Low Residential zoned area at the property located:

604 Chestnut Avenue, Carlton, MN 55718.

Legal Property Description:

All of Block Five (5), Lots Eight (8), Nine (9) and Ten (10) in Block Six (6) and that portion of vacated North Sixth (6) Street lying between Lot Ten (10) in Out lot "B" all in Baumann's Addition to N.P. Junction, now Village of Carlton, according to the plat thereof, and so much of the Northeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter (NE ¼ of NE ¼ of NW ¼) of Section Seven (7), Township Forth-eight (48) North, of Range Sixteen (16) West of the 4th P. M. as lies North of the right-of-way of the St. Paul and Duluth Railroad, now Northern Pacific Railroad, as now constructed through and across said section.

The interested public is invited and encouraged to attend this meeting where information will be given and there will be an opportunity for the pubic to make statements and ask questions. Written statements will be accepted at the City office until 4:00 pm, Friday, June 29, 2012 and may be mailed to P.O. Box 336, Carlton, MN 55718.
