Sheriff's Department advises no travel in county overnight

The Carlton County Sheriff's Office issued an update at 5:25 p.m. Wednesday on flooding and road closures in Carlton County.

"No travel in Carlton County is advised for the overnight hours as conditions continue to deteriorate," the notice stated.

In the meantime, notices continue to roll in about roads and culverts washing away,sewer lines collapsing, and cars getting stranded in areas of high water. A report also came in saying the hanging bridge in Jay Cooke Park has been partially washed away by the rising waters of the St. Louis River.

At last report, the campground in Moose Lake was under water and all residents who were on site had been evacuated.
