Wright-Cromwell News

By: Jennie K. Hanson, Pine Journal

I got the following email from Helen Johnson (Harp): “I have enjoyed looking at the 1940 census, recently released after 72 years. The website is 1940census.archives.gov. Under “census search,” find Minnesota, Carlton County and then Enumeration District 9-5. This brings up all of Beseman Township. There are eight images (pages). My family moved to Wright in 1943 and I recognize all of our former neighbors, relatives, friends listed. Perhaps you are way ahead of me on this, but just want to let you know this is now available. It has been fun!”

I was just informed that someone with no moral compass took the beautiful plant from Lawrence and Dorothy Dahl’s graves in Cromwell. How do you do that? How can you enjoy a plant that was on another family’s grave? I just don’t know what to say! I’m hoping it is returned with no questions asked!
