Cloquet upsets number one seed Hermantown in softball playoffs

For the first time in 10 years, Hermantown won't be in the Section 7AA softball playoffs after losing 2-1 to Cloquet in Cohasset this afternoon.
The Lumberjacks' Lizz Jezierski and Dalyce Gustafson scored Cloquet's only two runs on a wild play in a 2-1 7AA Quarterfinal win over Hermantown. Both players scored in the final inning on throwing errors that started with Gustafson tagging up at second base on a popup to the Hermantown catcher. Two errant throws later, the 'Jacks went from down 1-0 to ahead 2-1.
The Lumberjacks will play again Tuesday.
