Twin Cities Mingle deemed a success

To the Editor:

The Cloquet Educational Foundation (CEF) hosted the first ever CHS Alumni Twin Cities Mingle on April 19 at the Minnesota Valley Country Club in Bloomington. The event was a success with more than 85 attendees. Many guests felt like this was a mini all-class reunion because they had a chance to see alumni from many classes and even former teachers, principals and coaches. It was heartwarming to hear how much their Cloquet school experience has made a difference in their lives. Cloquet Transit generously provided a coach bus to transport local alumni and staff representing Cloquet at the TC Mingle.

CEF wishes to thank the Minnesota Valley Country Club for providing the beautiful facility and members of the Mingle Planning Committee: David Minkkinen’84, Dave Meisner ’63, Allison Ballou’94, Royal Prevost, and Kate (Modec) Hall’93. This event occurred because of their hard work! A special surprise during the evening was a guest appearance by Dick Jonckowski, “Voice of the Gophers,” who shared his humorous talents. Plans are under way for the 2013 CHS Alumni TC Mingle.
