The 22nd Annual Arbor Day tree planting event will be held Thursday, May 3. All Carlton County fourth-graders are invited.
Participants will practice tree planting and learn about forest management on county forest land near Iverson. Five hundred trees are provided by the Minnesota State Nursery in Willow River and Minnesota Power will give each student a tree to take home.
This event is made possible by Carlton County Land Department, Carlton County Soil and Water Conservation District, the University of Minnesota Extension, the Kettle River Woodland Council, Master Gardeners, and SAPPI.
