Boxing champs

C&C Northland Boxing athletes (from left) Josh Hautajarvi, Drew Angell, coach Phil Angell, and Dylan Wark display their medallions and trophies earned March 10 in Cass Lake, Minn. The boxers went 3-0 while participating in the 11 action packed bouts of the evening. Wark defeated Durgan Whitaker by first-round TKO, Hautajarvi defeated David Misheski by first-round TKO and, in the main event of the evening, Angell defeated Charles Oothoudt by unanimous decision. The boxers also received two of the three extra honors awarded that evening: Fightest Fighter went to Hautajarvi and Best Boxer went to Angell. Contributed Photo
