Former credit union CEO Tom Olson was voted on to the Members Cooperative Credit Union (MCCU) Board of Directors, joining re-elected members Pascha Apter and Kristine Collins.
Olson previously served as the head of Lake State Federal Credit Union, managing the organization for 31 years. He provides an inside understanding of both the day-to-day functions and challenges of the credit union industry, and an solid commitment to guarding the cooperative heritage and member service focus of MCCU. Olson’s addition filled a vacancy on the board.
Returning board member Pascha Apter is vice president and a partner of the Duluth marketing firm, the JPG Group. She was first elected to the board in 2009. In addition to her marketing background, Apter also worked for Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union and served as vice chairwoman of the Arrowhead Chapter of the Minnesota Credit Union Network.
Kristine Collins continues with the board, providing extensive knowledge of both business and personal finance, as an accounting professional and owner of Kristine Collins, LLC, in Duluth. She joined the MCCU board in 2011 and was appointed MCCU board chair for 2012.
Apter and Collins were re-elected to the 2012 Board of Directors by the MCCU membership at the annual meeting on Feb. 7.
