Audrey Amy (Dobrowolski Colburn) Asproth
Audrey A. Asproth, 91, of Cloquet, Minn., passed away Sunday, March 18, 2012, at Sunnyside Health Care Center in Cloquet. She was born Oct. 21, 1920, in Cloquet to Arthur and Amy (Hawkinson) Dobrowolski. Audrey was a charter member of the Klokay Bo-Kay Garden Club and loved flower gardening, crafts, playing cribbage and spending time at Cole Lake with her family.
Audrey A. Asproth, 91, of Cloquet, Minn., passed away Sunday, March 18, 2012, at Sunnyside Health Care Center in Cloquet. Audrey was a charter member of the Klokay Bo-Kay Garden Club and loved flower gardening, crafts, playing cribbage and spending time at Cole Lake with her family.
Audrey was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband of 31 years, John Colburn; second husband of 26 years, Edward Asproth; sister and brother-in-law, Vivian and Arnold Luukkonen; and one step-son, Steven Asproth.
She is survived by one son, Jack Colburn of Stacy, Minn.; two daughters, Joan Colburn Schmidt of Duluth, Minn., and Cindy (Mick) Singpiel of Cloquet; four step-sons, Robert (Lorie Stocke) Asproth of Mahtowa, Minn., David Asproth of Grand Marais, Minn., John (Jennifer) Asproth of Mahtowa, and Scott Asproth of Bloomington, Minn.; 11 grandchildren, Michelle, Jennifer, Amy, Jonathan, Danny, Megan, Joey, Jay, Jeffrey, Devon and Dalton; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and one nephew, Larry Luukkonen.
A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, March 23, at Nelson Funeral Care in Cloquet, followed by refreshments and a time of fellowship.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
