John Henry Corrigan
John Henry Corrigan, 82, of Cloquet, Minn., passed away Sunday, March 11, 2012, in Essentia Health St. Mary's in Duluth. He was born Aug. 5, 1929, in Cloquet to William and Blanche Corrigan. John graduated from Cloquet High School in 1947. He worked at Wood Conversion, as a tinsmith, Conwed and USG for 48 years, retiring as a supervisor of maintenance in 1995. John married Marion Utech on Aug. 10, 1963.

John married Marion Utech on Aug. 10, 1963.
John was a member and usher at Queen of Peace Catholic Church.
John enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing baseball, fishing and traveling. He was a certified instructor, teaching metal working at the high school and technical college.
He took pride in building his own home in Cloquet and cabin on Sturgeon Lake. John especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. His whole life centered around being with his family and friends at the cabin.
John was preceded in death by three brothers, James, William and Joseph Corrigan; and one sister, Mary Panger.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Marion; son, Todd (Michelle) of Barnum, Minn.; daughter, Gwen Corrigan of Jacksonville, Ill.; sister, Blanche Coughlin of Cloquet; four grandchildren, Joshua, Alex, Connor and Casey; nieces and nephews; and a host of friends, including his Friday night Cozy Restaurant gang.
Visitation: 5-7 p.m. Thursday, March 15, in Atkins-Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th St. in Cloquet. Visitation will continue Friday, March 16, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Cloquet. Burial will be in New Calvary Cemetery, Cloquet. A time of lunch and fellowship will follow in the church social hall.
