Emergency responders found a human body in a burned out cabin in Carlton County on Wednesday morning.
The Carlton County Sheriff’s Office reported today that positive identification of the remains is pending and will be made by the medical examiner’s office.
Cloquet Area Fire District personnel and officers with the Fond du Lac Police Department and the sheriff’s office responded to the fire on Mission Road near Sawyer at about 6 a.m. The fire destroyed the cabin.
The incident remains under investigation.
