A very happy belated birthday to Vera Suhonen of Cardinal Court. Vera celebrated her 87th birthday with family and friends on Saturday, Feb.11, at the Cardinal Café in Cromwell. She would like to thank all who attended or sent her cards this past week or two.
I was recently asked if I knew of anyone who might have a copy of Helen Benson’s book, “Have No Fear, Wright is Still Here.” Well, I don’t know of anyone, but would like to get a copy or two if you would be willing to part with yours. Many times someone may own one of these books and then die or not want it anymore, so please let me know if you have a book that you would be willing to part with. It would be very much appreciated. Just give me a call at 218-357-2385 or email me at email@example.com.
The Cardinal Quilters are sponsoring a day of open sewing at the Cromwell Pavilion. This will occur Feb. 25 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be experienced people there to help you with any sewing problem from how to hem clothing, sew torn seams or quilting questions. We encourage anyone to come, look and learn. Lunch is on your own but coffee will be provided. For questions, call Linda Larson 218-644-3484.
St. John’s Lutheran Church of Wright will hold a Chili Feed and Bake Sale on Saturday, Feb. 18, from 4-7 p.m.
I will be leading the worship service in Brookston on Sunday, Feb.19, at 10 a.m. if anyone is interested in attending.
