Junior hockey: Minnesota Wilderness wins 3rd-straight SIJHL title

The Minnesota Wilderness clinched their third consecutive Superior International Junior Hockey League regular-season title over the weekend.
The Wilderness (37-3-0-1), ranked second among all Canadian Junior Hockey League clubs, have not lost a regulation game since Oct. 24, a span of 26 straight games.
The team, in its first year based in Cloquet after moving from Spooner, Wis., will receive the No. 1 seed in the SIJHL five-team playoffs. All five league clubs will make the playoffs, the league announced Monday, after the sixth team, the Duluth Clydesdales, folded operations last month.
