Donald 'Rafferty' Rabideaux

Donald "Rafferty" Rabideaux, 67, of Cloquet, Minn., passed away Friday, Dec. 30, 2011. He was on born Sept. 14, 1944, in Cloquet to Clifton and Margaret (Morrissette) Rabideaux. Rafferty married Janice Kauppila on Dec. 23, 1971. He worked as a welder for Hydro-Mac, Arctic Cat, and Fond du Lac. He retired from Black Bear Casino in 2006. Rafferty was a member of the Fond du Lac Band of the Lake Superior Chippewa and the Thief River Falls Eagle Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents and several nieces and nephews.

Rafferty is survived by his wife, Janice; siblings, Clifton (Gail), David, Dennis (Mary) and Shirley; brothers-in-law, Gene, Bob, Greg and Gordy (Glenna) Kauppila; sisters-in-law, Sharon (Jim) Baron and Gloria (Kevin) Malwitz; aunt, Cynthia Olson; uncle, Robert Morrissette; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation was held Wednesday, Jan. 4, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service in Handevidt Funeral Home, Cloquet. Interment was in New Holy Family Cemetery, Cloquet.
