According to the Cloquet Police Department, officers responded to a residence in the 1200 block of Slate Street about 5:50 a.m. Sunday after a male caller reported that his wife had just shot him.

Upon arriving, officers were met by the 38-year-old husband, who had a gunshot wound to the chest, and his 36-year-old wife. Officers located a gun believed to be the one used in the shooting.
