Wright and Cromwell news for the final week of 2011
By: Jennie K. Hanson, Pine Journal
This will be the last column for 2011. You may not get to read it until January 2012, but it’s a great time to take the time to review the past year and count our blessings. We are thankful for the successful five-way bypass for Bob and thank all who took the time to send him cards and lift up prayers for him. Otherwise, the year went way too fast. As we get older, time goes faster, too.
We also want to thank everyone for all their prayers and concerns to those who have lost loved ones or have suffered illnesses or troubles in the past year. I’ve heard many a comment that without the prayers folks knew they wouldn’t have gotten through their tough times as well as they did.
Marie Cieluch recently underwent a four-way bypass heart surgery. She would appreciate our prayers for a speedy recovery.
So, as we welcome a new year, let us also welcome the new babies in the area. I’ve heard of a couple of expectant couples, but we will just have to wait until they give birth before they become news. Congratulations to Ryan and Amy (Dahl) Sportel on the birth of their baby girl, Finley Grace. She was born Dec. 22 at 7:40 a.m. She weighed 8 pounds, 3 ounces and is 20 inches long. She also has a 2 1/2-year-old brother, Sullivan (Sully). Proud grandparents are Barb and Tim Dahl and Greg Dahl of Wright and Annette and Chuck Sportel from Blomkest, Minn.
There isn’t much news this week, so I will sign off with a huge thank you for all the news you have given me, and keep it coming. Thanks also to all my readers for all your words of encouragement over these past years. I love to do this and I hope I can keep on writing. I started writing the news in October 1982, so this will be my 29th year of keeping you all informed the best I could.
That’s all the news from Lake Loveoneanother and have a great week and year to come! Hello to all of you!
